I am an innovative educationalist with a flair for business ideas that can be translated into educational research. I have extensive knowledge in the school, Further Education and Higher Education sector as a researcher and lecturer. My research interests and expertise are in gender, identity, race and class. My current research focuses on the notion of identity and leadership. The topics that I teach include research methodology, gender theory, leadership and professionalism.
In addition to this I am an active member of the community that shares experiences with both individuals and other organisations. I am a member of the Runnymede Trust – 360. This is a national network connecting leaders in race equality for new thinking, shaping debates and enabling social change. I am also a lead mentor for BAME Women Race to the Top Mentoring Circle which is a mentoring programme that supports BMAE Women Civil Servants who would like to move forward in their careers.
